Ford’s Change Might Lead to $13 billion Profits

Ford’s Change Might Lead to billion Profits

Ford’s Change Might Lead to $ 13 billion Profits

Ford is trying to do some accounting changes this year in order to remove the allowance from their books and bring around $ 10 to $ 13 billion of profits to this company.  This is one prove that Ford is now confident that they will sustain on their profitability which was recently found after they are operating losses for four straight years from 2005 to 2009.

This valuation plan will be held against some deferred tax assets. This company looks like they were needed it after they feels that their profits disappeared. However as the company was making $ 9.3 billion of profits in this last two years, they won’t need this valuation any more.

When this step is done, Ford was claiming that this will record it as the ‘special item for the quarter,’ which is able to avoid them from the negative effect of the tax. Even after the valuation allowance has coming to Ford’s books, it seems that the company is still able to operate without tax until the end of the decade, as they are now eligible for tax breaks after losing $ 31.4 billion since 2005-2009.

Reimaging of Jaguar E-Type Will be Very Limited

Reimaging of Jaguar E-Type Will be Very Limited

Visualtech, a Swedish company for designing has confirmed that they will make a car which is based on the Growler E concept, and the car will be a very limited run as a reimaging of Jaguar E-Type. They are confirming that they plan to bring the first Growler to be ready in the summer of 2012. Their original plan is to create three or four cars which will be simultaneously worked.

If in some reason there are overwhelming demands, they will create a short series of the cars in collaboration with Steyr or Valmet. Specs wise, this car will have the 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine from Jaguar XKR under its hood. With some tweaks on it, this car should be able to bring 600 horsepower to the driver. They are also hoping that the car is able to run from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds.

The body of this Growler will be created from a composite which is glued to the carbon fiber structure. The rear and front tube frames will be holding its running gear. Don’t be rushed to order this car before we talk about an important thing: cost. You have to pay almost $ 700,000 or around $ 1.4 million if they only make a few.

Jeep Will Build Subcompact In 2013

CEO of Jeep, Mike Manley, has said during the Geneva Motor Show last week that they are looking to build a subcompact sized model of their B segment of SUV in 2013. Manley was saying that the Partnership between Chrysler and Fiat will be a very critical thing to build their new car, because Jeep is looking to use a 1.6 liter from Fiat and the JDTm diesels. Beside that, they are also trying to use the 1.4 liter Multiair gasoline mill.

The car’s packaging seems like going to be based from the Fiat Grande Punto, as most of the car models will be a front wheel drive version.  However, you must remember that this is a product fron Jeep. It means that at least their trim level from the top of the line will still get the four wheel drive version.

You can expect his subcompact version from Jeep to be aimed to the Mini Cooper and the famous Audi A1, with a supermini as its premium options list. Jeep said that they will bring at least a competitor of the Wrangler Jeep despite targeting this subcompact unit to the hatchback market. But they won’t abandon their image of off road product as well.
